Right to Rent Checks

 

From 1 February 2016 all landlords are required to check their tenants’ immigration status, before issuing a housing contract, and will need to see original evidence of your right to be in the UK. We will be happy to provide you with a letter confirming your enrolment at the University if required.

Guarantors

 

Most landlords require you to provide a UK based guarantor before signing a housing contract. The guarantor’s purpose is to guarantee to pay the landlord rent if you should fail to pay it yourself.

If you cannot provide one it is likely they will require you to pay most, if not all, of the rent upfront.
